A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Ashley, a recent high school grad, to create a model portfolio for the Torrid Model Search 2017. Yes, yes, and yes! I was so excited for her. We scheduled a date and when Ashley arrived I was stunned by her Inner Beauty and positive body image at the age of 18. She carried herself with such poise, like a woman who knew exactly what she wanted. I’ll have some of that please! Her makeup was done by Sephora and her hair was styled with the help of Ashley’s friend. We laid out all her clothes from her shopping spree and created a shot list to keep us on track with a few tearsheets for inspiration. Ashley came prepared, all I had to do was deliver the goods. What a great collaboration we had! Needless to say our shoot lasted for hours with the aide of Pandora and a great playlist.
