Recently I had the opportunity to photograph the lovely Elizabeth Peterson, a performer and Rockette for Radio City Music Hall. I was so nervous as I did her hair and makeup but my nerves calmed down as we had chatted and got to know each other. (Yes, I had stage fright. My secret passion is dancing and I would love to be on Dancing With the Stars.) She was so down to earth and modest. I got to hear about her career and life in the Bay Area and performing in New York. I asked Elizabeth to tell me her story.
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Peterson. I am a performer, and am currently performing as a Rockette for Radio City Music Hall. I have had the opportunity to be with the Radio City family for five years as well as dance for Disneyland, on a cruise ship, and in various musical theater shows. I trained in dance locally here in the Bay Area at Dance Connections Performing Arts Center in Concord. In addition to performing, I am becoming an elementary school teacher through Grand Canyon University. My future goals are to keep having a fun and successful career in the performing world as well as be a positive role model for my future students.
